Tulip, I agree with Monster - we'd need to know something more about him/ your relationship, as the most romantic thing to get is something personal.

One Valentines Day I brought tears to my bf's eyes by getting a voucher for afternoon tea for two at a big hotel. Why the reaction? Because he'd only mentioned once that it was an ambition of his and I had remembered.

There are all sorts of non-traditional things like personalised beer & champagne, balloon flights, wine tasting experiences, river trips with dinner etc etc. Depends on your budget too. You might just want to find a poem or a song that will mean something to him.

That said, steak and a blowjob will probably give him the best Valentines ever.
