I worked at Kinko's from '93 to '98. I think we did a pretty good job. We were the top Kinko's in the country in the last half of 97. The problem was people overestimating what we could do for our $8.00-$10.00/hr. The biggest problem was that people couldn't perform basic math. Even with our discounts for volume, it boiled down to 3,000 copies at .05 an impression. When jerkoff Mullet-man/Ukranian Amway Guy/Passive Aggressive Twat saw the $150 price tag, they were mystified.
Don't even get me going about color copies. Apply $1 a copy to the formula above and you really start to see the smoke pour out of their heads.
Computer Services just had to have the "Magic Button" that made everything better. It's called a $150/hr graphic designer at the least. We didn't have any on the premises.
By the way, never tell your manager the company CEO is wasted off his ass.
