Go right ahead! It was $160, which I feel is worth every penny.
I think there's room for all sorts of models and licenses in the open source world. I wish everyone could make their mint on support and services and just leave the source entirely open. But this model is not half bad: paying a reasonable amount up front for software that is so obviously worth it, and then getting the source as a part of the deal.
If enough good software can't be produced on the strictly open model, this model at least keeps standards open. Plus, if the company who produced it dies, at least someone can support the software with the code.
