Some interesting points. But over-generalised and skewed of course.
I'm sure others of this (purely international) forum can rebut the points better than me.
All I can say is I've been watching clips from musicals on youtube tonight. And despite the fact I adore Tim Rice (Andrew Lloyd Webber less so) there's no doubt Americans gifted us the best film musicals of all time.
