As Americans were when other nations accurately identified the 'Saddam WMD' excuse as bogus. When some reality is not provided, then the masses will easily believe what they are told. A China Tibet problem simplified down to sound bytes (black and white reasoning) often results in popular opinion being wrong. Deja vue Nam. In a nation that says it does not filter the truth - what happened? In a nation that does filter facts, well, public opinion only measures the possibility of unnecessary war.
