That has been the case in the past, but over the last 20 years or so, the number of citizens with mainly British racial origins has been steadily dropping, and continues to do so. According to
this article, by 2025, there will be only about 60% (and dropping) of the Australian population with a British background.
Incidentally, did you know that Melbourne has the largest population in the world, of Greeks outside of Athens...and you know how those Catholics like to breed.
