Ok, I don't mean this to sound callous, but I'm trying to wrap my mind around it. Your wife died in the car crash, but her consciousness transferred to your body, and vice versa. But if her body couldn't sustain life, and your consciousness passed into it, wouldn't that mean your consciousness died when her body died? And if that's the case, if "you" are now "your wife", wouldn't it be more appropriate to say that your husband died? Either way, it seems like you're talking about a consciousness that shouldn't exist.

I need a drink and a nap now.
