I wouldn't really say I collect watches, because I consider a collector to be someone who has specific knowledge, looks for certain makes and models, knows which ones are valuable and which are junk, etc., but I have a lot of watches. My wife and I, between us, have 40 or 50 watches, mostly mechanical (manual or automatic wind, but without batteries). I do have 5 or 6 watches that are really computers, but those don't count.

The nice thing about collecting watches is that they don't take up much room, as opposed to typewriters, motorcycles or full-size train cars.
