I spent this morning watching a movie.

Oh, that's not what I'm ashamed about. I watch movies in the morning a lot ...

See, I have digital cable. Because of that I have the STARZ/ENCORE moviepak (or whatever the name is for that particular promo ... a series of close to a dozen channels, sorted by type: westerns, action, romance, true stories, etc.)

So anyway, seeing what's running on this channel sequence is part of my daily routine.

You never know what you're going to find on. Could be Das Boot or it's equally likely to be something like The Incredible Mister Limpet.

So anyway, what was it that held my rapt attention this morning on the Action Channel when i should have been doing something productive, like paying bills or taking my healthful morning walk? (Okay, so I'd just gotten back from that and was having a healthful morning repast of Rice Krispies) ...

Scream, Blackula, Scream.

What's more frightening ... was that it was actually GOOD, from both a horror movie perspective as well as a blaxploitation film perspective.

Oh dear. I'd blame this all on the fog created in my head from taking the pain meds, except that I'm not taking the pain meds anymore ...
