I like the range idea better. You'd need jacketed rifle rounds so that it doesn't explode, but just gets holes blown through it. I would think that if you use ball ammo in a pistol, it;s going to mushroom on impact and blow the crap out of it, possibly negating a second shot.
Believe me, one shot at a vile, misbehaving laptop of computer would not be enough!
