QVC Studio Park is not too far ... you'd either need a car, or depending on the conference, they might have something set up to go do the tour.
If you want to brave public transit you can do the Historical Sites in Philadelphia.
Or go out for dinner with some Dwellars. There's a lot of darn good eating in the area ... do you know which hotel your conference is in yet?
