According to
this Daily Mail story, hedgehogs have an occasional problem where air will escape from their lungs into their body. When that happens they puff up twice normal size, like a puffer fish.
A woman found the beast on the right lying in her driveway, and took him to the nearby vet for treatment; they stuck a tube in the guy and let all the air out, and they say he'll recover.
And what did they name him?
"Michelin"
