Jenni is vegetarian, and was vegan for a good while. I'll now answer all of your questions.
1. Most places around here have pretty decent offerings, but I'm in the fastest growing area in the country. We also have a vegetarian restaurant that we go to that's not only great for her, but I love it as well. The food's amazing. If I were eating at Sunflower every night, I could easily be vegetarian. (Giles is here in my office and he's a big meat fan; he says "oooooh, Sunflower." It's that good.)
2. Worst case scenario: make protein shakes with bananas and milk/silk (soy milk).
3. Me too. But there is a lot of really really tasty non-meat foods. Spaghetti, pizza, Chinese... lots of good stuff.
4. No. Eggs have never been fertilized, so they're not animals.
