Mr. Plant's first few solo albums were very fine indeed. After I snatched each new one up eagerly, I read in interviews with the gentleman that he considered Let's Active to be the finest band in the U.S.A. This was circa 1985, and he was absolutely positively correct. Unfortunately Let's Active wound up enjoying no commercial success whatsoever and Mr. Plant was forced to include Zep samples in his solo works in order to trick people into buying them.
