(I would have written this yesterday, but I've practically been bed-ridden all weekend. Finally, I can sit in a chair without writhing in pain...)
A year ago yesterday, I wrote
The voices in my head merely provide some sort of guidance..., which began the
Sycamoreland forum (later to be called
The Sycamore Manifestos, to distinguish them from the Sycamoreland website).
I had no hard concept when I asked for the forum, but I am quite happy with how the Manifestos have developed over the past year...especially in the past couple of months.
In grade school and high school, English teachers always told me that I was a good writer. And I enjoy writing, especially now that I'm not being graded on it per se. Sycamoreland gave me a true outlet for my creativity, and the Manifestos allow me to be more of a "spontaneous storyteller."
So, one year and 98 threads later, we have:
My favorite creations
Sycamore writes Santa Claus
On Fall and Turkey Time
SC: Pimpin Suits
The Virgin Chronicles
"Underrated" threads
The Virgin Chronicles (see above link)
Poem: What Are You About?
You miss it most when you realize it's gone...
Sycamore spends the day in Suburbia...
There really aren't any threads that I
don't like, although I wish I could have created decent threads out of the material in the
Random Sputterings.
I've got a couple of great (IMO, of course) threads lined up for the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
I really enjoy doing what I do here, and hopefully some of you enjoy reading these little creations. I'll keep writing them...whether you keep reading them or not is up to you.
