Montezuma County, Colorado is probably not going to make a huge difference in Colorado's over-all election results. There are only around 16,000 registered voters here, about half are registered Republicans, and the other half is split pretty evenly between Democrat and Independent. Incumbent Congressman Roy Salazar (D) is up for re-election, and I think he has a good chance of winning this district because he is an Hispanic farmer from the near-by San Luis Valley. He'll get the vote from Montezuma County because its composed mostly of farmers and ranchers and has a high percentage of Hispanic and Native American voters.
The big topic of conversation around these parts is the unsually wet weather which is playing havoc with the bean harvest. Look for coming higher prices on your pintos, folks.
