The MO debacle was good and bad. Good b/c John Ashcroft is an evil evil evil puke. Bad b/c now the whole world has to deal with him.
Mel Carnahan was a great governor, and he is sorely missed. Given her lack of experience, Jean Carnahan has not done too bad as a Senator. On the other hand, Jim Talent isn't a bad guy either (he was a congressman previously in the western St. Louis suburbs).
Sycamore breaks down the NJ election mess:
--Forrester: a puke
--Torricelli: a puke
--Lautenberg: the man who can apparently do no wrong
--What the democrats did: Shady, but necessary from the democrats' point of view
--Would the republicans have done it if in the same position?: Likely, but the dems have particularly shown their great ability to be stuntmen in recent times.
