WooooHoooo! After 264 posts, I finally get one.

OK, here's the Q:

Before Black Sabbath hit it big, their lead guitar player (Tony Iommi) left the group to play for another band (who also hit it big later) then quit after one practice to rejoin Sabbath. Name the other band. Bonus: Why did he quit the other band after only one practice?
