You lucky bastard!

Every time I see a Sycamore St., I think about how cool it would be to live on one...unless of course, it's in a shitty neighborhood.

We have 2 Sycamore street names in the city. One is in the Olney section of North Philadelphia...Sycamore Street. Olney is ummm...earthy. Could be better, could be worse. I'll pass.

Then there is Sycamore Drive, which is not too far away from me, in the Holmesburg section of NE Philadelphia. Holmesburg is alright, but parts of it are starting to get shitty. Sycamore Dr. is in a subdivision that consists of really fucked-up looking homes. They're not run down or anything...they're quite nice actually. But they look like trailer park homes...they don't seem to blend in with the rest of the neighborhood.

Of course, one of these days, when you go to St. Louis, you will travel along Sycamore Drive, and maybe go for a picnic at Sycamore Park. And don't forget to visit the Sycamore statue that sits at the entrance to Sycamore Park. :)

The spot in bright red on the map is where my park will be. The street labeled "Germania St." is what will become Sycamore Drive.
