When I was in grad school, and lived in married student hel...housing, I had a female mallard nest in my flowers by the front door both springs I was there. The male, with all his glory hanging out also hang around awhile. I have some pictures somewhere, old school style that I'd have to scan in if you wanted to see.
The funniest part is that at first, I thought he had been hit by a car or something, 'cuz there was this pink thing, kind of curly and amazingly long, hanging from below his tail. My husband about blew a gasket laughing at me when he told me that that wasn't intestines, but his penis.
