Clearly Mrs Williams has not been taught the ways of subtle abuse, as is prevalent in most reasonably educated Brits. The slur is generally so cleverly disguised that for those of lesser intelligence it can pass by unnoticed or even be translated as a compliment. I remember sounding off in such a way in an email to a local Parish Councillor, then immediately regretting what I had done. I was a bit sheepish when I next met him - and then astounded that he bought me a beer.

Of course, I know that, being such a likeable sort of chap, any abuse directed my way must be in jest and good fun. And as for dealing out abuse, well I could never do that to any of my friends at the Cellar, It would be totally wrong to take such an advantage...
