years ago, I posted this thread, my first, I think.
http://cellar.org/showthread.php?t=6858
In it I referred to the inch3 as elfin bedwe'er. Wolf proposed that I meant sir Bedevere, and I deferred to her considerable skill. As it turns out I just recently watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail and the name Elfin Bedwe'er was from the scene of the killer rabbit and Cleese's monolgue:
"To the north lies a cave, the cave of Caer of Bannoch, where, in mystic runes carved upon the very living rock the last words of Elfin Bedwe'er make plain the last resting place of the most Holy Grail. But! The entrance to the cave is guarded by a beast so foul, so cruel, that the bones of four and twenty men lay strewn about the entrance to the lair. So go no further unless you be men of valour, for death awaits with nasty, sharp, pointy teeth."
And thirty years later it is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Arguably one of cleese's most inspired perfomances.
Anyway, I am glad I finally resolved that nagging detail.
