I worked with a guy that never got a wedding ring when he got married -- they just exchanged tattoos. She put his on her arm and hers in his arm.
I always thought it was funny that he'd been married 6 times before I knew him. Since he wasn't Mormon, he'd also been divorced several times, and each of the names had a line through it.
