There's no reason to believe if you can
hear and see people day-in, day-out spouting exactly the empty phrases that the Tom Tomorrow strips satirize. To me, the strips are worrying, rather than funny, since they are entirely too close to the universal mainstream depiction of 'truth' to be funny.
