I believe the pyramidal action typically causes transient, non-replicable, mysterious faults in any and all electronic equipment.
Most of my new-agey/pagan/magickal friends are in awe of my ability to be festooned with functioning pagers, cellphones, and watches, as well as to operate a computer without frequent glitches and crashes.
Magickal energy is hard on modern electronic devices, you see.
I keep a huge chunk of jet on top of my computer, just in case. Jet is a sort of psychic energy sink and keeps the machinery from going kablooey in case I need to work magick nearby.
