The only thing spammers know is that we have over 2000 members; they've never been here before to know how many post regularly. Also, your other board may have a more rigorous registration process to weed out the less-determined spammers, and on a board with that much activity, there is likely more than one moderator with time to delete spam threads. UT does an amazing job--he gets most of them before anyone even sees them. But he can't be online 24 hours a day.
