Put the pets to work for you, Mari
Join a Corgi club, do obedience trials, take a class on pet care at the community college or adult ed program, or even TEACH one. Go to some place where you see people you would like to meet and walk the dog there at the same time every day. Volunteer to take the pets to a hospital for therapy visits. The possibilities are endless.
