When I was a kid, I had a paper route. I gained a lot from that job, but it wasn't money. Mostly I gained self knowledge, especially the fact that I not a morning person and that I like an occasional day off. I also learned that at 13-14 yrs old, I had no head for business. I was in the postition of buying the papers wholesale from the Sun-Telegram for about a dime, and then selling them to my customers on my route for quarter. But it always seemed like my bill from the paper exceeded my collections each month (which I also hated doing, and the tips sucked.)

Without question, somebody is paying for that paper. Poor sap.
