If images are let in the sigs, there will be no (technical) way to limit the size of them.
I'm quite strongly against it, for all the same reasons as avatars, plus in this case an img could be hosted outside the Cellar and break all sorts of things in threads. No now that I think about it, it's a bad idea all around.
