To be fair, I think (and hope) he is not actually claiming that the priest abuse was consentual; he is claiming that by liberal standards it was. Which isn't much better.
I guess this is a branch of his "if you accept gays, you have to accept bestiality", except he is also extending it to post-pubescent children. Lovely.
