On the way to the prom, in a rather small Hillman convertible, the couple in the back seat stashed a bottle of champagne in the well behind the rear seat that the top folded down into. Almost there the bottle exploded....didn’t pop it’s cork...exploded!!
Suddenly, everyone is covered with champagne and bits of green glass. Fortunately nobody got hurt but certainly smelled funny and because of the glass we couldn’t wipe it off quickly. Blot, don’t rub.
Didn’t do the HS prom...too cool for that scene.
