Many people in the alternative religions barely believe in their alternative, much less religion as a whole. While there are many good, sincere, believing people, lots of 'em are borderline agnostics who just don't want to be Christian ... which is a really strange concept, when you consider that the majority of the ARs are experiential to some degree (that is, adherents have direct experience of and communication with diety).

So, no, I don't think they are pushing ID very hard.

I don't know all the ins and outs of ID, but I don't have any difficulty in accepting the hand or energy of creator in the process of life. Science being right doesn't mean religion can't be right too.

I would be more interested in knowing what Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus have to say about evolution and ID.
