Seals have it rough. There are approximately 350,000 Russian seals that will die of hunger if their ice floe doesn't travel like it should; their big piece of ice is stuck and it should have been moving to where their summer home is and where the food is. Apparently the same thing happened a few years back and a lot of seals died.

The latest prognosis, though, is that a bout of warm weather is helping them out, and that the mother seals are teaching their young to find the food that the warm weather is bringing to the floe. So they may be OK.
