Actually, corn liquor is a popular drink in China. We drank this one brand, Yi Li Te, all the way through our trip in the western region. It's okay going down; hangover was mild, but it gave me the worst liquor shits the next day. Sucks that there aren't many toilets (only trenches) out there.
