That is very sad and touching, Dagney. I dread the day when my Baron gets to that point (he will be 11 years old in March). I know it must happen some day, but I don't know if I can be a stoic as you are when the time comes. He has been my best friend for all of those years.
I love Nightsong's prayer. I hope it helps to give you peace (and Heidi as well).
