They were selling deepfried cheeseburgers and deep fried banana pudding at the North Carolina State Fair this year.
I've also seen deep fried oreos and moonpies. I refuse to try any of these deep fried "treats."
While they eat a ton of deep fried food in the UK - including pizza - they walk a lot more than we do. It definitely makes up for it.
