I don't know if this fits in this thread, since it isn't really a trend or something popular, but it certainly is common...
I don't get computer help desk people that don't know anything about computers. These people probably never saw electricity before they got these jobs, much less computers...they were probably shanghaied into service from the Appalachias, or something.
