For once I agree with Lookout!
E7's and E8's are no fools. They form the backbone of the enlisted army and many a green lieutenant or captain would be lost without his far more experienced master sergeant to show him the ropes. Also, a master sergeant with 20 years in the military makes more than a lower level officer. Look at the education and well thought out writing displayed by the non-commissioned officer whose letter I started this thread with.
