The episode where Lisa gets braces, and Homer is elected presidet of the union, is the best Simpsons episode ever: "Last Exit To Springfield"
Quote:
DENTIST: Lisa and Marge, these braces are invisible, painless, and periodically release a delightful burst of Calvin Klein's Obsession... for Teeth.
LISA: (smelling) Mmm!
MARGE: Uh, doctor, we don't have a dental plan right now, so we'll need something a little more... affordable.
DENTIST: (pulling out a mess of metal) These predate stainless steel, so you can't get them wet.

Later in the episode, Lisa is getting her school picture taken, and doesn't want to smile because of her hideous braces:
Quote:
PHOTGRAPHER: Come on honey, smile! I bet you've got a beautiful smile. Why don't you share it with the world? (Lisa smiles, revealing her braces, the photographer gasps) There is no God!

If I pasted all the great lines from that episode, it would be just about the entire script. And I think a close second on best episode ever if "You Only Move Twice," where Homer gets a job working for the super-villain Scorpio.
I need to start watching the Simpsons again... My anti-TV habits have resulted in not seeing an episode in months.
