BreakingNews ... consider getting a airpack and a fireblanket to stash in your desk in place of the bottle of bourbon that used to be de rigeur for journalists. Oh, and a really goddamn good high power flashlight, although that will be more for a false sense of security rather than the actual ability to see anything in the event of an actual fire or smoke event. Once the smoke gets going, no flashlight is going to be strong enough to cut it. Hope that makes you feel nice and comfy.)
* No, I am not a firefighter, but I hang out with them. I am hoping at some point to be able to go into the smokehouse in gear during a smoke rescue simulation (the idea of entering during a live fire evolution is just too scary for me), but the person that's going to get me in (so I can panic) hasn't made the arrangements yet.
