If you are already feeling bad about your hours, then you will feel much worse in the new job,
even if you
are well compensated financially. The suggestion that others have made that you move closer to the new job is a good idea if the local community is one that you and your family would be happy living in - a disaster if it isn't. Living close to work certainly makes longer hours easier to take. Why? Because at the end of a long day you will be able to say "I'll be home soon", rather than having to look forward to a long drive. A long trip after a long and tiring day is a real killer.
Life is a gamble. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice and take your chances.
