Austin has the second-biggest gay community next to San Francisco (or at least it did a few years ago). And yet my mother still REFUSES to believe me when I tell her what the rainbow stickers mean. "You don't know that--maybe they just like rainbows!" I've told her if she doesn't believe me she should put one on her car and see if anyone mentions it to her, but she won't.
