Hi all, I wanted to introduce myself. I have been a lurker since I came back from maternity leave and found you guys (my daughter's 19m old). So I've been around awhile. Finally feel comfortable enough to step out and try to post my opinions for discussion since there haven't been any assholes around lately

. Since having a baby and evaluating my life, I realized I am way too ignorant about government and politics in general. That's how I came upon the cellar, in my search for information.
I have already learned a lot just by observing all of you (scientist in me) but surely will get a lot more out of actually participating.
You are a unique group of people, I hope I can contribute another view on the topics at hand.
