When I saw the ancient Egyptian Bead dress it garnered my attention and thoughts of Cleopatra or the slave girls dancing to
entertain after supper before they had TV. But then I found out before they wore that dress they were mummified and wrapped
in linen. Kind of ruins the erotic fantasy.
The history of the discovery and restoration by the Boston Museum of Fine Arts nearly 80 years after it’s discovery in Giza is
credited with meticulous photos and notes by the finders. Not the head dude who gets the credit, but one of his flunkeys who don’t.
The story from a 1996 KMT Magazine.
