The FBO where I learned to fly had a couple of these, a couple of Piper Cubs and a few Cessna 150's as basic trainers.
Actually, they had an Ercoupe and an Aircoupe. They were easy to fly, but not as fun as the others (except with the canopy open).
A friend bought one about twenty years ago and flew it solo across the US and back, a slow and perforce a carefully planned trip.
