Tax Day Protest Arrest Report
I spoke with the Los Angeles city attorney today, and they have decided they do not want to persue any charges against me for my tax day protest. I let them know I intend to go to the same post office next year and they told me to be careful. I was kind of hoping to go to court, because I'm very confident I can win and make it easier for libertarians later. But this is better than nothing.

Thanks everyone. I kind of wish I had the chance to win in court. I may sue them for violating my civil rights. I've heard of a few lawyers who might do it free or on a contingency. And if I can get an order for them to cover my legal costs, nothing would come out of my part.
A lawyer told me they can't make a citizens arrest except to prevent a felony. He also said, I could sue not only the post office, but the postal workers who pulled me into the building by force and wrongly arrested me, and I might get an apology from the post office too, which would be great for future tax protests all over the United States. |
go for it. with all the $ hungry lawyers out there who will sue anyone on contingency, you wouldn't even have to pay for it!
