Recent canoe trip
 

Recently we went on an overnite canoe trip on the Eleven point river in MO.

After all the long and hot hours I have put in recently it was SOOOO nice to float and soak in a cool spring river ,

The water was cool enough to cool wine , this pic is of a box of wine minus the box , in a mesh bag hanging over the side of the canoe ,

There are lots of caves all along the river ,

We spent the nite at a fine site by the river , I didn't get any pics as well the wine had taken affect and well we found a fine spot and drank more , discussed the affaires of the universe , solved most of the problems of humanity , and told tall tails , then it started raining . In the morning the mist looked so cool ,

we canoed on down the river and stoped at a LARGE cavern , sorry but all the pics from there didn't turn out , but take it from me it is a cool spot .

All along this river there is Blue Holes ( springs bubbleing up from the earth ) , these are COLD , 40 deg or some such , if you look from the side you can see that the water is DOMED , there is THAT much water flowing !!!!!!!!

At one of these Blue holes there was a tree overhanging with a rope swing , I just had to do it , I got the rope , pulled it WAY back and took a running start , swung out over the water and let go , then I had one of those moments when you stop and think " WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING ????!!!??!!??!!" As I hung there in the air , then gravity took affect and I hit the water , :eek: :eek: :eek:
Have any of you guys ever gone from 100 deg temps into 40 deg water ???
That was last weekend ,, and my nurts are still up around my ears !!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Do ya think Alcahol was involved ??

A few bucks more than the competition , but they give FUCK , DAMN nics folks !!!! They ONLY have old town canoes !!!!! Fuck that Aluminum shit , they are noisey , cold , drag up on rocks , and the butt seats suck !!!!!!!!

there has been so little rain out here lately, that our only local kayak trip of this season was 30% less enjoyable due to having to get out and drag the gottdamm thing over the rocks so much.
