Radar 08-14-2005 02:17 AM

I wouldn't be surprised one bit.

You can find some more photos of what happens to those in China who oppose oppression right HERE

Just remember, the guy in that picture was able to stop those tanks by appealing the the common sense and compassion of the men driving them. It wasn't until later that another group came in and did not stop.

We have some people here who are very sure of their opinions. I can think of a few people here who would have thought "What a fucking idiot" and stepped on the gas if that person was protesting against someone they agreed with.

You'd never find a libertarian like that.

Undertoad 08-14-2005 01:46 PM

Sure you would - it would be a government official in front of the tank, and it would be you stepping on the gas pretending to be the civilized one.

What do you want to know? Does China execute people? Yes, they do.
The question is why....I can't read the signs.

No, if it were a libertarian it wouldn't be a tank, it would be a bulldozer and we'd be bulldozing or selling the government building because it would no longer be used for theft or violating people's rights as is currently the case.

The person standing in front of the bulldozer would most likely be a socialist, and we'd have security escort him away from our path before continuing.

Naa, it would be me, with no pretense of civility. And it would be a government offical from the Philadelphia Parking Authority, so the crowd would be going wild.

I must admit, I always thought cockroaches were the lowest form of life on earth until I saw meter readers. They are the worst scum ever to defile the earth with their presence.

Hobbs 08-15-2005 09:59 AM

So much for the new civilized world. Nothing has changed...ever.

xoxoxoBruce 08-17-2005 12:58 AM

So Hobbs, you feel this is less civilized than the methods used to execute people in say, Texas?

I haven't been to a Texas execution, but when was the last time a prisoner had the digits of each finger cut off by a wire cutter before being suffocated by a wet cloth covering his face?

xoxoxoBruce 08-19-2005 06:09 PM

I didn't see either one of those things in the pictures.

Urbane Guerrilla 08-21-2005 11:07 PM

Communist Chinese executions number over fourteen million total since 1949, I hear. I also hear the man in front of the tank has been among those shot. For blocking traffic. :rar: One day this martyr will have his own postage stamp -- denominated in yuan.

They are probably still indulging in the noxious Commie habit of billing the condemneds' families for the cost of the cartridges. And do they overcharge?

This is the kind of thing I take up arms against -- overdoing it on the death penalty. Well, Radar? Where do you move against these excesses?
