of a list of those star codes for your phone? like star69 to call the last number etc? I forget what they're called and Googling doesn't help me. I know there are a bunch but only know like two.

Help!

Not in MY hick town phone book Bruce. Thanks BigV. I didn't know what to call them for Googling. I am not a Google master anyway. There are times when I miss Dagney. Now THERE is a Google master! She can find anything within a minute or two.

Do these codes work on cell phones too? Telemarketers call mine all the dang time and it's pissing me off.

BigV 08-11-2005 08:19 PM

National Do Not Call Registry. Yes, you can register your cell phone.

Clodfobble 08-11-2005 08:23 PM

I thought legally they couldn't call your cellphone because it cost you money ("minutes.") Only two telemarketers have ever called my cellphone, and both times I just interrupted them and said "This is a cellphone, you know" and they immediately apologized profusely and obviously took me off whatever list they had.

If you dial *67 before you call someone, it blocks your # from showing up on caller ID.

Is it just me Dag, or have you been MIA for about a month?

eiffelenator 08-16-2005 08:13 PM

Does the *67 work? Does it cost extra?
