Memorial Day Weekend Offshore Fishing Trip

well, i'm a little late with this but what the hey! this was the first of at least 3 offshore fishing trips that are scheduled for this summer. one of my buddies and I made a $20 biggest snapper bet. as usual the trip was hot but awesome! this was the first year that i used a snapper slapper and i tell you what, i LOVED it! it is a 6 oz lure that resembles a squid (see below) and i dressed the trailer hook with either sardines or dead squid or both, all with awesome results! i also included a couple other pics of other peoples catches like the mahi-mahi (aka. dolphin fish or dorado)

Man, that's a lot of red snapper.

I recognize the mahi-mahi, but what is the skinny silver fish next to it? And are those sharks, or dogfish?

Good catch, menfolk!!

Should I be impressed or frightened that the beer supply had to be moved by a flatbed handtruck? Actually I'm surprised, as since it's displayed near the catch, that means that those are the beers yet to be drunk. What the hell's up with that? Was the the AA sponsored fishing trip or was that the thirsty men returning from the sea load?

the skinny fish is a king fish and those are atlantic sharpnose sharks, i believe.

AA showed up and fainted so we got to go in their place

actually that was to replenish the beer that had been drank for the next day's charter
